It is hard to imagine, that the Kingdom of God is within you!!

So, Christ stated in Luke 17:21 ‘The Kingdom of God is within you’. Not outside of you, or in a far off untouchable heavenly place, but within you! Therefore, you can touch and experience God and have Him live in you, as the creator of the universe and as your most intimate confidant and supporter. This fact of us having this closest of experiences with God is hard to imagine if we take it seriously that is. It is easy to trip of the tongue certainly as many Bible clichés are, but hard to make sense of and to fully accept – that a God is so deeply interested in what we are facing, good or bad, in all of what we are and do, and is always thrilled and delights in our aligning with His loving purpose and will. 

But if you are worried about feeling claustrophobic in close relationships, remember too that God will never suffocate us in this relationship, as he always gives us space to be ourselves, and to approach him with total freedom and love. So, it is in freely accepting that the Kingdom of God is within us that we can then fully receive God's peace, joy, love, pleasures whether big or small, guidance, forgiveness, and to receive these fully, whatever is happening to us.

Jesus declares in John 10:10: ‘I have come to give them life in all its abundance until it overflows’. Step out then in our God-given freedom and love and accept his Kingdom within you as a gift of life that Christ, in his love for you, has freely given us all.
